Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Buffalo, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Buffalo follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We had a great takeout experience here! Everything was delicious! It's not cheap, but they make up for that in quality. We ordered a soup dumpling variety, which were all very tasty and well made...probably not the best to order for takeout, though. But I'm definitely looking forward to having them again dining in. The beef lo mein was the best I've had so far in Buffalo! There was lots of nicely seared beef and the lo mein noodles had a slight browning from the wok. I felt like the price was reasonable at $15. I'll definitely be ordering this again! The vegetable fried spring rolls were fantastic! So light and crispy. Not a bad price at $6.99 for four decent sized rolls. This will be a regular item for us! I'm excited to try the many other items on their menu. They're walking distance from our building, so we'll hopefully become regulars. Give them a try!

Great selection of vegetarian options. The cocktail menu also looks interesting but I did not try it this time, just a bowl of soup. The broth and mushrooms were incredibly flavorful and had a rich, nearly nutty flavor. The noodles were the perfect level of chewy and the portion size was generous. It is a little awkward walking in and knowing where you are supposed to go to get service, but this is a new business and I figure that this will be worked out soon. I am looking forward to bringing some friends and exploring more of the menu.

I ordered the bone broth noodle soup with beef shank and my partner ordered the pork ramen. Both soups were a generous portion (we easily could have shared one soup). The broth was rich and flavorful and the noodles were soft and delicious. The wait staff were kind and attentive. The space is very nice with a variety of seating options. Location is nearby plenty of shops and nightlife, a great place to go out for dinner and explore Allentown. Overall a great new addition to the area.

The staff were all incredibly kind & welcoming. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We tried 2 different kinds of soup (spicy Mala w/ Mushroom & tonkatu w/ beef slices) as well as 2 types of dumplings (the black truffle & a spicy option.) To finish it all off we did the lotus pear dumpling dessert. It was the perfect way to end the meal (as well as the cutest reusable take out bag ever!) Noting that I did mark my meal as $30-40 per person, but we had two apps and a dessert!

****The updated review is below this one...also detailed...so if you like wordy responses....feel free scroll down to part 2****π€ First time visiting. I stopped into JBC during a bit of a lull in the day, and honestly? That worked perfectly for me. The space felt warm and calm. If youβre someone who gets even slightly anxious about eating alone (hi, itβs me ππ½ββοΈ), this is a comfortable place to do it. No awkward hovering, no feeling singled out. Just peaceful and welcoming. My server, Summer, was lovely. She spoke calmly and carried herself in a way that felt grounding. As someone whose anxiety can flare up easily, that kind of energy doesnβt go unnoticed. It was genuinely appreciated. I ordered the chicken and ginger dumplings, the vegetable ramen, and Iβm currently staring down the lotus pear dessert as I write this. The standout for me was the vegetable ramen. The broth tasted fresh and had just enough spice to lightly tickle the lips without overpowering anything. On a chilly Buffalo day, this is exactly what you want. The bowl was packed with vegetables, and I really enjoyed the variety of textures. The broth supported everything beautifully instead of stealing the show.
